AVIATION PARKWAY AND WALKLEY ROAD STRUCTURE REHABILITATIONS

This multi year project involved the rehabilitation of the substructures and superstructures of five bridges along the Highway 417 corridor between Aviation Parkway and Walkley Road. Work included the designing and implementing jacking plans for bearing replacements, completing repairs to abutments, wingwalls and barrier walls, and performing form-and-pump patching. The scope also covered installing new noise barrier walls at three bridge locations and along the 417E-174E ramp. Construction required complex traffic staging to keep both highways fully operational, including building several temporary detour roadways. Additional work included drainage improvements at all bridges sites, with two trenchless crossings completed at the Walkley location.
